Laguna Kaan Luum
In the Riviera Maya there are a variety of lagoons, but the Kaan Luum Lagoon is very special. It is characterized by having a large cenote 82 meters deep inside, in addition to the beautiful blue and green tones that are generated by the sun. Being surrounded by the paradisiacal nature of the Mayan jungle, it becomes the perfect place to enjoy a spectacular weekend or be part of your itinerary during your vacations in the Riviera Maya.
The lagoon is located near Tulum, there are two ways to get there and both are very simple and practical.
Getting there by own car: The simplest, fastest and most practical solution to get to the Kaan Luum Lagoon. Just write in Google Maps: -Laguna Kaan Luum- and follow the map until you get there, it will take you 20 minutes.
The base price for adults and children is $ 100 pesos, if you have a drone and want to enter to record some shots cost you $ 300. It is forbidden to bring pets to the place, intoxicating drinks, horns and it is strictly forbidden to smoke in the area.
Bring the food and beverages that you intend to consume during this visit because in this place they do not sell any kind of beverages or food. Remember not to pack alcoholic beverages, it is forbidden to introduce them.
The place has some palapas where you can have a picnic very comfortably, they are free to use.
Arrive early, at noon it fills up with people.
The bathrooms are very basic, use them if you really need to go, they do not serve as dressing rooms.
Do not use sunscreen because they pollute and damage the lagoon, unless they are biodegradable.
The water level is below the shoulders, so it is safe for everyone.
I highly recommend visiting the lagoon, it is a paradise and it is very close to Tulum. And if you are passionate about diving this should be a mandatory stop.
