The cenote Xcanché is located 1.5 km from the Archaeological Zone of Ek Balam, to reach it you can do it by truck and / or mountain bike.

This particular cenote is 15 meters from depth from ground level up to the water mirror, it has a diameter of 50 meters and is surrounded by vegetation that allows birds to fly everywhere.

For a long time, access to its fresh waters was almost impossible, until the indigenous Mayans of the place organized and formed a cooperative with the aim of activating a source of income for the population. Over the years its facilities have been perfected, placing wooden stairs attached to the stone wall that allows reaching a platform that surrounds almost the entire cenote so that people can enjoy the cenote.

Its waters of Green tones are home to thousands of fish that will welcome you as soon as you put your foot in the water, it is deep so it is important to wear a vest if you do not know how to swim very well. If you wish, you can explore it using a kayak that will allow you to have access to all the corners of the cenote and enjoy the place from another perspective.

In the place some palapas have been placed with their tables and chairs so that you can pass A pleasant day in this place, in addition to offering a service with a camping area, zip line, rappelling for those looking to enjoy nature and get their adrenaline flowing, ecological baths, a rest area with hammocks and a restaurant with regional Yucatecan food. < br>
Get first to Valladolid and take the road that goes to Tizimin Yucatán, passing the town of Temozón, drive for about 5 minutes (6 km) and turn right, from there you will drive about 4 km reaching the intersection, continue straight for approximately 1 km to reach the tourist parador of Ek Balam, next to the parador there is an entrance to the cenote Xcanché.
